The Nimmo United Methodist Church Cemetery was established around 1910 on the grounds just west of the historic Nimmo United Methodist Church founded in 1791.  The Nimmo church building is the oldest still in use Methodist church building in Virginia since 1791.
Today Nimmo’s UMC serenely beautiful cemetery is located on about 3 acres of land in the Historical Culture District of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Our cemetery has not only the available in-ground space, but also a columbarium for cremains as well.

GRAVE PLOTS

All grave plots and niches are presently being sold to those who are active, contributing members of Nimmo church for three years.
Our cemetery is one of the few in the area which still allows the use of engraved memorial stones or lawn level markers. The cemetery is currently undergoing renovation of all documents, maps, and beautification of the cemetery grounds, which will in time include a garden around the columbarium.

CURRENT GRAVE PRICES (2021)

NOTE: All purchase fees for burial plots or niches and Location & Maintenance Fees shall be paid three (3) days before burial / funeral. Unknown charges at the time of preparing the grave will be the responsibility of the family – such as temporarily relocating a memorial stone to set a vault in a grave, etc.
The Nimmo Cemetery Association reserves the right to change any fee as they see fit.
We invite you to visit historic Nimmo Methodist Cemetery and consider it as a final resting place for yourself or your loved ones.
